My younger brother was in a men's barbershop chorus in the 1970s. I always thought that it was just for men until the mid 90s when I joined my first Sweet Adeline chorus in Myrtle Beach. When I heard those chords ringing and experienced those overtones coming from the rafters, well let me just say, I was hooked from day one! And also, there are the lifelong friendships made from singing side by side with other sisters in song. Like Clay Hine's song says, "It's the music that brings us together, but it's the friendships that make us stay!"
